Welcomes You

Association for Medical help in Liberia Africa

About us

Here at Help Liberia, we are driven to provide medical services in two rural clinics in Liberia. Since 2008, we treat 50-100 patients per week, mostly women, children and babies. In 2023, we treated 6654 patients. Are you ready to join us and create real transformation in the lives of so many?

Our Mission: Medical Services in Rural Liberia Africa

Medical Services in areas where patients have no other options

Provide medical services and medication in Mawah and Yarbawah rural Liberian clinics. The patients are mostly women and children. They would have no other option for medical support if it were not for these regional clinics. Services include supporting pregnant mothers, common illnesses and rare and complex medical consitions

Develop clinics for better services and increase patient capacity

Maintain the current clinic infrastructure and extend it to meet the on-going increase in patient numbers. This includes extending existing buildings and adding new buildings with the support of local community volunteers. Also improve the infrastructure by adding wells for clean water, solar for power generation and incinerators for medical waste.

Support the development of local volunteers

Local volunteers often do not have the resources to develop the skills required to offer medical services. Sponsorships are created for individuals with potential to attend studies, training and further development. Many individuals have successfully completed training and not work in the clinics or the community in general.

“In Fuamah, a district of Bong County, some villages are inaccessible by car or motorbike or cut off during the rainy season. People have to walk a long way to get health care. Thanks to the support of the German Embassy and the members of Help Liberia-KponMa, it was possible to build a new and improved clinic building.”
